Central Cass Students Attend "The President's Own" Marine Band Concert

The Friends of Fine Arts sponsored a pizza party for Central Cass students who committed to a Saturday evening special band event.

Following the pizza party, over 100 Central Cass students, parents, chaperones, and band director, Brandon Noffze, made an impressive presence at the United States "The President's Own" Marine Band Concert on October 7 at Sheyenne High School in West Fargo. The 1.5 hour concert performing pieces from Sousa, Wagner, Williams and others. "Throne Room and Finale" from Star Wars and "A Salute to the USA Armed Forces" were favorites. 

The US Marine Band was formed in 1801 to provide music for the President of the US.John Phillip Sousa, director from 1880-92, elevated the band to a national band of excellence and expertise. Three centuries after debuting, the Marine Band performs in over 500 concerts annually.
